Prep-Lunch isn’t a new trend if you’re on a diet. Meal prepretation is the process of planning and preparing your meals ahead of time.
Benefits of preparing your own lunch box:
- Save money, as you are avoiding to eat out.
- Save time.
- Can help with weight control, as you decide the ingredients and portions served.
- Can contribute to a nutritionally balanced diet.
how to choose your lunch box?
A good lunch box container will last for a long time and keep the food well. My lunch box requirement should have three compartments, therefore I can prepare a balance portion of protein, fiber, and carbohydrate. The most important consideration is the box can be microwaved, as normally microwaving is the only way to reheat your lunch in the office. Ways to meal prep
There are many ways to prep your lunch box. One of the popular ways is to take one day to precook all your lunch in one go for the entire week then dividing it into a different box, and store it in the fridge. So that you can easily grab and go in the morning. I personally don’t prefer this way of meal prep, this is because I find it really difficult to plan all the meal in once and I end up using similar ingredients or eating the same dishes thought out the week.
The way I prep my lunch box is much simpler and involve less planning. The way I do it is to plan my meal one day ahead, I would cook more during dinner and prep the extra into my box for the next day, simple right?
