Easter holidays are coming!!! Which means it’s travelling time. We all know that travelling is amazing, it expands your mind and enriches your life with a new experience. You see amazing sights, experience different cultures, you also learn a lot about life in many ways. However, it can also be stressful and detrimental to our health when we’re constantly on the go.

I admit that staying fit while travelling in another place is hard, therefore I have got 4 tips for you to follow to stay healthy and be happy;)

Drink Lots of Water

I know, you’ve heard it a million times, but staying hydrated is always incredibly important for a healthy lifestyle. In the excitement of exploring a new city, it is easy to forget to drink enough water. Water is the foundation of your livelihood. Therefore, carry a water bottle with you at all times, when you’re at somewhere that isn’t convenient to find a store near you.

Get Enough Sleep

It is important to get enough sleep while travelling. The body needs to rest when travelling crossing time zone, physically travelling such as walking all day or carrying luggage. So, How much sleep is enough? Keeping it to 7 to 8 hours is the best. You can also find a nice cafe to seats down after a long walk, make sure you have enough rest. However sleeping away from home can be challenging for some, to ensure you get a good night sleep to ask for a quiet hotel room away from the elevator and street noise. I also suggest you can also bring your favourite candle with you while travelling so that you can have a sense of being at home.

Digestive Health

Eating is definitely one of my favourite parts of travel, however, I had experienced stomach issue when travelling and that can derail the vacation. This can due to many factors, but the most common one is because you’re eating food that you’re not used to.

Get your daily exercise by walking around the city, at the same time truly learn about the place. For example, if the church is 1.5 miles away? How about walking there instead of transport? When I’m travelling I always make a walking goal to complete, I courage myself to walk around 18000- 20000 steps each day. Use your phone to count how many steps you walked during the day. At the end of the day, you will be so proud of yourself.

After all, the most important things are to enjoy yourself during the tip. Don’t stress yourself up by not eating healthy or skipped a gym day, travelling is also a way to keep your soul healthy. It’s alright to have a cheat meal, experience the vibe and atmosphere around you. Enjoy the moment is the key to stay happy and healthy when travelling!
