For anyone who just started to go to the gym can be incredibly intimidating and I totally understand how you feel. Therefore, I am here to share with you guys my personal experience when I first started at the gym.
There I got 6 tips for all beginner:
Tip 1: Plan ahead and research

Planning is the key, you can plan and research certain work-out for each part of the body for you to work on and stick to it. I recommend you can have a browse through Pinterest, they hold all sort of inspiration that you can develop on.
Tip 2: Consistently show up to the gym
Try to go to the gym starting once or twice a week and slowly add more and more. I would not recommend pushing too hard at the beginning, as you will get so overwhelmed and gonna get bored easily. So it is more important to show up consistently at the gym, and a week after weeks it is a lifestyle change. It takes time and you got to be patient.
Tip 3: Make a workout music playlist

This will help you get into the mood and makes you feel empowered. In this way, you can concentrate on your own exercises and don’t think of what other people think. So put on the headphone and fescue on your work out, and trust me music is a huge motivation!
If you’re interested in what songs I like to listen, feel free to go check out my playlist on Spotify! https://open.spotify.com/user/22syf5bcr6rx2gqwrx6qyxdxq/playlist/4LgzF8m9wAj4hqAtStgVOK?si=Zx4FB8RXRyqACboilBO8Pg
Tip 4: Wear the clothing you are comfortable in
Wear something that you are comfortable in is really important, anything that you feel confident. Or maybe shop for some gym clothing that can get you excited to wear it to the gym. I have a range of place to shop for some gym wear, there are a few of my favourite.
1. SportDirect is famous for sports goods retailer in the UK. It has a range of top brands such as Nike, Adidas, Puma and so on. The main thing is that SportDirect offers great value for all sorts of kits. Go shop at https://www.sportsdirect.com/
2. Missguided not only offer a range of fashionable cloth in an avoidable price, but it also has an amazing as well as fashionable workout gear. Go shop at https://www.missguided.co.uk/sportswear
Tip 5: Be realistic, don’t expect too much at the beginning
Don’t expect you can lift all the wights. I recommend starting with body weight first and then some lightweight with dumbells and slowly move up the wights. So you gotta start slow, and repeat the movement to build up your muscles first.
Tip 6: Confidence is key
A beginner often feels that everyone knows exactly what they’re doing expect from them. But to be honest, no matter size you are or how experienced you are. The most important thing is that you decided to make a change and starting something new and that you should feel proud of.
